IMPLEMENTATION OF 2019/2020 MERGED TETFUND ICT SUPPORT INTERVENTION ON E-LEARNING PLATFORM FOR FEDERAL UNIVERSITY, WUKARI TARABA STATE.

TETFUND ICT Support Intervention for the Federal University, Wukari, is a training session, held from July 24-28, 2023, facilitated by Lexington Technologies and supervised by Sadiq Wali. It is an initiative which involves deploying an e-learning platform hosted on the Nigeria Galaxy Backbone Server to support distance learning and teaching capabilities.

Participants, including institutional admins, departmental admins, lecturers, and students, received hands-on training in system functionalities, such as course delivery, attendance tracking, and secure access management. Conducted at the university's Information Technology Centre, the sessions emphasized practical engagement, with structured modules covering roles and responsibilities. Logistics such as transport, accommodation, and feeding were arranged, although challenges like power outages, absence of a backup router, and increased costs were encountered.

Despite these issues, the training achieved its goals, equipping participants with the skills to operate the platform effectively. Recommendations were made for budget adjustments and customized materials for facilitators. The program concluded with a closing ceremony where participants showcased their understanding of the system, underscoring its potential for enhancing teaching and learning at the institution.

The training report for the implementation of the 2019/2020 TETFUND ICT Support Intervention on E-Learning at Taraba State University, Wukari, conducted in April 2023, highlights the deployment of an e-learning platform to support distance education and administrative efficiency.

Facilitated by Lexington Technologies, the five-day training included modules for Institution Admins, Departmental Admins, Lecturers, and Students, using practical sessions, group work, and quizzes to ensure participants' mastery. Despite challenges like power issues and increased participant numbers, the training concluded successfully with a system workflow demonstration by participants. Recommendations included enhanced logistics and facilitator uniforms to improve future sessions.
